A tiny, nimble creature darts through shadowy corners, its whiskers twitching as it navigates labyrinthine tunnels with silent precision. Claws scrape against stone, eyes glinting like polished obsidian in the dim light, ever-alert to danger. It scavenges crumbs of sustenance, a master of survival in a world teeming with predators. Though small, its presence weaves into the fabric of unseen realms—an unassuming yet pivotal thread in the tapestry of hidden kingdoms.

EverCat’s paws skid against the moss-slick ledge as the river roared below, its currents clawing at crumbling rocks. Time melted like ice under a feverish sun—one misstep, one delayed leap, and the swirling rapids would claim her. She lunged forward, claws snagging a half-rotted branch jutting from the cliffside, momentum swinging her onto a wobbling stone pillar. The next platform tilted, water sloshing over its edge—she pivoted, tail whipping for balance, and sprang toward a vine-strangled archway. Pebbles rained behind her as the pillar collapsed. No pause. No breath. The path ahead fractured: a maze of unstable driftwood, algae-slick boulders, and gaps widening with each heartbeat. EverCat’s muscles burned, but instinct drove her—zigzagging, dodging, hurdling—as the world blurred into a race against drowning. Home’s faint glow pulsed beyond the final chasm. She coiled, leapt—airborne, water surging beneath—and landed claws-first into soft earth, the river’s roar fading to a defeated hiss. Almost there. Keep moving.
